AOA# 35578734 DOB: 8/27/20206 yrs
Junior is a gorgeous male, packed with fleece. His pedigree is prepotent top to bottom. His champion sire is Majestic Peruvian Champ who sheared a seven pound blanket and 14 pounds total the year he arrived here (@ 6 years old) and his champion dam, Mixie, remains well inside the top 1% for density on EPDs. We will be breeding Junior with our Jive Talkin and Shak daughters.

We acquired Mayflower from 3Ds' Alpacas when they retired winter 2022/23. She is a very pretty female with a larger frame. She packs some extra weight and has a good sized attitude. She postures...a lot...at people and at other alpacas...at least she's consistent. She does not spit, kick, fight or anything like that and she's getting better since her arrival here, but this girl must have her bubble...like she knows she's something special. We call it the alpaca "don't touch the merchandise" personality.

Well, she is something special.... Her EPDs reflect the four doses of Hemingway on the first page of Mayflower's pedigree...positioned in each of her grandparent's lineages. The well-known Brummet's at Hobby Horse Alpacas in Ohio bred a double Hemingway son, Accoyo America Synergy ( 6P Accoyo Sicuani line), to a double Hemingway female with Accoyo Vengador lines. Many breeders believe that it takes at least a little Hemingway to achieve uniform extreme fineness and tight crimp character consistently in successive generations. I somewhat agree, but other lines have that too. So, our Mayflower has the highly regarded Accoyo - Alianza cross in her lineages.

Ten years ago she would have been a must have for lots of breeders. But, she's here now and we're going to see what she can do.

We are breeding her to our Champ, and his son Junior, who will add Accoyo Royal Fawn, P. Bueno (Alianza) and other notable lineages and their fleece density.

Her first cria here was a male, who we sold as a pet.

Her second is a female who we named Nina, who has the same attitude as her mother, but Nina is not pregnant. ;>)

In 2026, Mayflower will have her first cria sired by Junior. Stay tuned!
